Alignment Based Yoga

The emphasis is on learning physical postures (asanas) and incorporating modifications appropriate to the individual. Build core strength, mobility and balance as well as concentration and breath control.

Flow Yoga and Slow Flow Yoga

Flow Yoga and Slow Flow Yoga connect mindful, continuous movement with breath. Build muscle strength, mobility and balance. Both challenge and recuperation are woven into class time. Check the Stoughton Yoga schedule for “Gentle Slow Flow Yoga” for a less physically challenging option.

Peace and Calm Yoga

This class begins with a reclined guided meditation before moving into an extra slow flow. Rich time is taken in each pose to steep in calm and peace. The emphasis is regulating the nervous system while also building muscle strength, mobility and balance.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is designed to restore the nervous system, to help reduce stress, and improve sleep through very gentle and restful poses that are supported by bolsters and other props.

Yoga for Healthy Aging

Improve strength, mobility, balance, and stress management with breathing exercises, accessible yoga poses, and creative use of props. Yoga can be a physical activity that we stick with well into our later years if we find the right class. Expect a supportive and encouraging environment. Note: This class is for anyone aged 14 and up who is interested in healthy aging.

Yoga Tool-kit

Creative use of props and purposeful exercises are blended with more traditional yoga. Build core strength, mobility, and balance as well as concentration.
